The Monarch Grapes Tour
Riesling & Pinot Noir
For serious enthusiasts who would love to explore these two emblematic grapes in depth, we have created a tour that showcases the respected present and exciting future of Alsace.
“Everything was perfectly organised by Juan and the day went very smoothly.”
“We had a very pleasant and interesting bike tour through the vineyards of the Alsatian Gran Cru wines. Juan is able to transmit his passion for wine and during the tour he explained very nicely the landscape, the history and the wines of this region. I would truly recommend Juan’s tours not only if you want to learn more about wines but simply if you fancy spending a few hours cycling in good company, enjoying beautiful views and learning something new!”

About this
Wine Tour
We have designed a tour for serious fans of these iconic grapes. Riesling, of German origin, carries the weight of history for this region, and is represented in every Grand Cru, which is why its diversity of flavours and styles is so remarkable. Despite its global reputation, Pinot Noir has been a shy (and forgotten) 'vin rouge' until the last couple of decades, when its popularity has grown, creating new waves of excitement.
We will combine a series of tasting on vineyards, Domaine visits and tailored terroir driven tastings to get the best learning outcome for you.
Let’s discover these grapes together. They represent the present and future of Alsace.
Tour Start/Departure
Our ideal departing town for these two days will be Colmar. If you are based in Strasbourg, Freiburg (Germany) or Basel (Switzerland) we can discuss the best transportation options.
A note about free pick-up: This service is only available for groups of up to 4 people.
Getting There
Colmar is accessible from Paris via train (from Strasbourg) and via car transfer from many European cities if you fly to Strasbourg-Entzheim Airport or to EuroAirport (Basel - Mulhouse-Freiburg)
If you are renting a car: Google Maps does a good job of getting you there ;-)

As we look to personalise the tours as much as possible, we require at least two weeks (14 days) contact in advance, so we can organise bikes, transport, wineries and restaurant bookings. It is very difficult for us to organise a tour on short notice.
You can contact us via our website contact form, via email or via WhatsApp on +41794171478.
The earlier you book your tour, the better for us to organise your itinerary and experience.
